He was predeceased by : his parents, Boyce Arvil Holder and Ethel Mae Hampton Holder; his former life partner Marie B. Holder; his son Timothy Holder; and his siblings, Sue Holder Rash, Anna Holder Critcher Dyer, Carole Holder and Earl Holder.
He is survived by : his friend Phil Barker; his wife Regena Mahaffey Holder; his daughter Pamela Holder of Wilkesboro, NC; his stepchildren, Susie Kemp (Sherri) of North Wilkesboro, NC and Reggie Kemp of Wilkesboro, NC; his siblings, Neil Holder (Sharon) of Mountain City, TN, Kate Holder of Pinehurst, NC and Linda Holder Kunder of Arlington, VA; and his extended family, Peggy Yates and Karen Britt of Pinehurst, NC.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews.
