He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Sheets and Marie Huffman Sheets; and his siblings, Billy Jean Sheets, James Franklin Sheets and Rachel Sheets Myers.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Mike Sheets and Pamela Sheets Brown (Kevin); his sisters, Joann Sheets Owens (Don) and Wanda Sheets Byers (Danny); his grandchildren, Chris Sheets, Ashley Sheets, Katy Isaacs (Josh), Kandace Mayberry (Clark), Andrew Brown and Clara Brown; his great grandchildren, Trevaun Hague, Devin Hague, Charlotte Isaacs, Evelyn Isaacs, Amelia Isaacs, Jonathan Isaacs, Cam Mayberry and Georgia Mayberry; and his great great grandchild Alora Hague.
