He was predeceased by : his father Marvin Dean. He is survived by : his mother Glenda Reavis Cody of North Wilkesboro; his daughter Brooke Caudill of North Wilkesboro; his granddaughter Keziah Caudill; his daughter Hannah Summers of Wilkesboro; and his sisters, Barbara Utt (Danny) of Wilkesboro, Marsha Cody of Hays and Sheila Key of Jonesville. He is also survived by several nieces and one nephew.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Service (180 Sparta Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Chapel (180 Sparta Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659).
