He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Edward Thomas, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Scruggs Thomas; his former wife Geanne Wilkinson Thomas; and his wife Faye Miller Thomas. He is survived by: his children, Cathy Williams (Derwin) of Wilkesboro and Lowell E. Thomas III (Carla) of Richmond, VA; his granddaughter Holly Greene (Randy, Jr.); his great grandchildren, Brennan and Alexia; and his sisters, Betty Carson of Idaho and Judy Baker (William) of Virginia.
