She was predeceased by : her brother Joseph Earl Atkinson. She is survived by : her mother Linda Ruth Chambers Atkinson of West Jefferson; her sons, Isaiah U. Atkinson and Jayce Lee Royal; her father Earl Atkinson; and her brother James Ezra Atkinson of Asheville. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
