She was predeceased by : her parents, Went E. Haynes and Belva Kilby Haynes; her husband William Elmore Billings; her daughter Sonya Johnson; her brothers, Ralph (Susie Haynes), Norris (Mary Ann Haynes) and Hubert Haynes; and her son-in-law Darrell Minton.

She is survived by : her daughters, Brenda Minton of North Wilkesboro, Debra Rowe (Mike) of Sparta and Pamela Blankenship (Steve) of North Wilkesboro; her son-in-law Gary Johnson of Granite Falls; her sister-in-law Josie Haynes of North Wilkesboro; and her grandchildren, Beth Gay (Brian), Adrianne Rowe, Adam Johnson (Rebecca), Tracy Lowe (David) and Steven Blankenship. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
