With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Jennette Sturgill of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on May 18, 2022 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Hazel Cox Atwood and Sarah Sophina Darnell Atwood; her husband Bert Sturgill Jr.; her son Rick Lee Sturgill; and her brothers, Glenn and Paul Atwood.
She is survived by : her brother Jerry Atwood of West Jefferson; her granddaughter Shandi Sturgill of Wilkesboro; her nephew Bobby Atwood of Alabama; and her pet Lacey.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
