He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Roy and Elsie Lee Hamby; his wife Patricia Roberts Hamby; his sons, Travis and Harold Hamby; his grandson Jeremy Roberts; his brothers, Roger and Tony Hamby; and his brother-in-law Mack Killen.
He is survived by: his children, Jamie "Paso" Roberts (Melissa), Brian "Mole" Roberts (Margaret) and Amanda Jackson (Virgil Howard); his grandchildren, Jessica Moore (Matt), Kayla Burke (William), Devin Roberts (Amber), Austin Souther and Bryson Vickers; his great grandchildren, Carson Warren, Jace Moore, Greyson Moore, Ivory Roberts, Camille Burke, River Roberts and Connor Burke; and his siblings, Ralph Hamby, Robert Hamby, Michael Hamby and Violet Hamby. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Service (180 Sparta Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Chapel (180 Sparta Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659).
