He was predeceased by: his parents, William John "Bill" Hamlin and Ruby Nell Shumate Hamlin; and his wife Reneé Dowell Hamlin. He is survived by: his children, Ian Hamlin and Mikaela Hamlin; his siblings, Vicki Hamlin Church (Mark), David and Jamie Hamlin; his stepson Jeremy Shumate (McKinley); and his grandchildren, Bentley, Archer, Easton and Luka.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Chapel (180 Sparta Rd, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659).
