He is survived by: his daughters, Pat Crump Workman (Chuck) of Norwood, Ann Crump McElheny (Butch) of Norwood and Jo Crump Hepler (Mark) of Norwood; his sister Betty Hinson; and his grandchildren, Betsy Furr, Laura Lorch, Sarah Summerlin, Katie Parker, Jay McElheny, Will McElheny, Madelyn, Emma Furr, Payton Lorch, Jackson, Harrison Dodd, Holden and Mackenzie Parker.

The family requests memorials to Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharrie , 960 N. First St., Albemarle, NC 28001.
