He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Hatley and Eunice Story Hatley; and his siblings, Curtis Hatley, Hazel Dean, Bobby Hatley, Betty Lou Hatley, Libby Grissom and Joe Hatley.
He is survived by: his wife Cornelia Blalock Hatley; his sons, Lee Hatley (Janet) of Norwood and Chad Hatley (Lisa) of Norwood; his siblings, Brenda Lee (Darrell) of Oakboro and Jimmy Hatley (Ellen) of Norwood; his grandchildren, Carrie Hatley, Daniel Hatley, Taylor Burleson (Sean), Candy Mabry (Shellie), Jesse Springer and Justin Springer (Tasha); and his great grandchildren, June Lee Burleson, Dax Jones, Willow Springer and Ivy Rose Springer.
