He was predeceased by: his father James Albert; his wife Judy Shoemaker Furr; and his brother Wade Lee Furr Sr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Wendy Hartsell (James) of Norwood and Sharon Newton (Timothy) of Mt. Gilead; his siblings, Curtis Furr of Texas, James Furr (Cindy) of Norwood, Kenneth Furr (Renee) of Concord and Thesa Hartsell (George) of Stanfield; and his grandchildren, Megan Pinion (Jason), Aaron Hartsell (Brittany) and Tyler Newton (Carmela). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
