With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Winfield of Norwood, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 28, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid William farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For William is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Liles and Elizabeth Thomas Winfield; and his significant other Debbie Gibson. He is survived by: his children, William Varner, Tommy Winfield Jr. and Tammy Marks; his stepsons, Dale Tyson and Kurt Tyson; and his sister Pat Long. He is also survived by grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
