He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Franklin Vining (TF) and Colleen Francis Vining; his wife Betty Louise Vining; and his stepson Randy Turner. He is survived by: his children, Charles Vining, Jr. (Misty) and Missy Vining (Chris); his grandchildren, Bradley Vining (Brianna) and McKaylah Navitskis (Adam); his great grandchildren, Cohen Daniel Watson Vining and Briar Willow Vining; and his stepdaughters, Sandra Simmers and Debra Turner.
The military honors was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Oak Island (4608 E Oak Island Dr, Oak Island, NC 28465).
