Though Langhorne may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She was predeceased by : her parents, James Langhorne Wiley and Kathryn "Kitty" Barrett Wiley of Middleburg, Virginia.. She is survived by : her husband Harold "Jock" Canning; her pet Athena; her son Beau Thebault (Lauren Thebault); her stepson Drew Canning (Marie Canning); her grandchildren, Lily, Jasper and Ophelia Thebault; and her half-brother Lewis S. Wiley.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Peacock - Newnan & White Funeral Home (1411 N Howe St, Southport, NC 28461).
