Teresa Jean Johnston Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Teresa Jean Johnston of Oak Island, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 11, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Teresa leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira Johnston and Billie Johnston; and her sister Sandy Briggs. She is survived by: her children, Graham Rushing and Meredith Rushing; her granddaughter Raegan Riddle; and her brothers, Ira "Pete" Johnston (Robin) and Tony Johnston (Barbara). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
