She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace McGee and Edith Glidewell McGee; her husband Edwin Keith Smith; and her son Alan Korey Smith. She is survived by: her son Kevin Smith (Elizabeth) of Greensboro; her grandchildren, Elijah Smith of Charlotte and Josie Smith of Greensboro; and her sisters, Rebecca Hedgecock of Kernersville and Joan Willard of Clemmons. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family members.
