With solemn reverence, we commemorate Annie (Ann) Smith Edwards of Oakboro, North Carolina, whose life came to an end on September 27, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oswald Smith and Nellie Floyd Smith; her husband William Edwards, Jr. (W. A.); and her siblings, Clinton, Willis, Lemuel Smith (Slim) and Geneva Smith Lambert.
She is survived by: her children, Renda Edwards Williams (Jerry) of Oakboro and Todd Edwards (Heather) of Oakboro; her grandson Orie Edwards (Makayla) of Oakboro; and her sister Christine Smith Mullis of Stanfield. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care - Locust (501 N Central Ave, Locust, NC 28097). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mineral Springs Baptist Church (4694 NC-205, Oakboro, NC 28129-8858).
