He is survived by: his wife Shelbie Jean Helms Davis; his children, Joseph Davis of Oakboro, Karen Little (Michael) of Locust and John Davis (Amy) of Signal Mountain, TN; his sister Shirley Saunders of Lenoir; his grandchildren, James Little (Jennifer) of Lone Tree, CO, Sarah Little of Greenville, NC, Jennifer Little of Madison, WI and Meredith Nye (Evan) of Fort Worth, TX; and his great grandchild Elliot Little.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the First Baptist Church of Oakboro (322 N Main St, Oakboro, NC 28129). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at the Oakboro Cemetery (1373 N Main St, Oakboro, NC 28129).
