He was predeceased by: his parents, James Marshall Simpson and Louise Frinks Simpson; and his daughter Audrey Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Simpson; his daughter Melody Lynne Simpson of Morganton; his grandchildren, Samantha Revis, Hayley Martin, Maddy Revis, Dustin Revis and Mikal Simpson; his great grandchildren, Brody Martin and Braden Martin; and his brothers, Muggs and Doots Simpson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
