He is survived by: his wife Raye Purvis; his children, Jackie Craven (Bill) of Ramseur and Kevin Purvis (Terri) of High Falls; his daughter-in-law Merle Purvis of Shallotte; his stepchildren, Vickie Garris, Kristie Algeo and Buddy Price; and his grandchildren, Meredith Duell, Joshua Purvis, Rachel Stanley, Brad Craven, Michelle Kirchenbaum, Megan Purvis and Graham Purvis. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
