It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Verda Mae Holder of Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, who passed away on October 15, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ralph Edwards and Nicie Russ Edwards; and her siblings, Gladys Dutton, Vara Edwards, Vesta Kelly and Newton Edwards.

She is survived by : her children, Raymond Holder, Curt Holder (Valerie Brodar) of Colorado Springs, CO, Barbara Santamaria of Shallotte, NC, Gaila Smith (Carl) of Shallotte, NC and Denise Lee (James) of Myrtle Beach, SC; her grandchildren, Jacob Hugg, Shane Freeman, Josiah Santamaria (Jaclyn), Adam Santamaria (Krystal Febles) and Elizabeth Smith; and her great grandchildren, Gillian Santamaria, Virginia Santamaria and Ana Toro.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Jennies Branch Baptist Church, 5256 Beach Dr SW, Shallotte, NC 28470.
