It is with sadness that the passing of Tammy Lynn Whitson of Old Fort, North Carolina is shared. Tammy, born on November 24, 1959, passed away on October 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Robert Simmons and Betty Jean Grigg; and her sister Sandra Scoles. She is survived by: her significant other Tony Ray Whitson; her daughter Amy Whitson Miller; her son-in-law Todd; her grandchildren, Taylor Miller Arrowood (Coleman), Zoe Miller Rumberg (Austin) and Matthew Todd Miller (T. J.); her great grandchildren, Brooks Matthew Arrowood, Bennett Bryan Arrowood and Aria Lynn Rumberg; and her brother-in-law James Scoles. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Beam Funeral Service & Crematory (2170 Rutherford Rd, Marion, NC 28752). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
