He is survived by: his children, Kelvin Benge (Bridgette), Jimmy Benge and Sonya Brendle (David); his sister Janet Pearson; his grandchildren, Amanda Benge (Tyler Ball), Ashley Benge (Cillian Cotter), Landon Brendle (Hope) and Alyssa Brendle; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Woods and Bud Hall.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lackey Town Missionary Baptist Church (2254 Lackeytown Rd, Old Fort, NC 28762). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at the same location.
