He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Bessette and Leroy Bessette; his sister Lynn Bessette; and his daughter Amy Epting. He is survived by: his wife Michele Brown of Oriental, NC; his daughters, Susan Freeman (Ryan) of Glens Falls, NY, Erin Falcone (Chris) of Schenectady, NY and Ashley Gody of Merritt, NC.; and his brothers, Leroy Bessette of Malta, NY and Chris Bessette (Henny) of Lakeside, CA.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Daniels-Sadler Funeral Home & Crematory (52 Bryant St, Alliance, NC 28509). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 4:30 PM at the same location.
