She was predeceased by: her parents, Colwin Donley Walters and Bessie Rouse Walters; and her husband Jimmy Lynn Freeman. She is survived by: her daughter Kellie Freeman; her nieces, Renee Collins (Adam) and Amanda Freeman Burns (Greyson); her nephew Bryan Freeman (Kellie); her aunts, Ida Scott (Alton) and Elois Surles; and her siblings-in-law, Jackie Freeman and Richard Freeman (Vickie). She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bloomingdale Baptist Church (1758 Bloomingdale Rd, Orrum, NC 28369).
