We announce the death of Byron Keith Curtis of Otto, North Carolina, who passed away on June 29, 2026, at the age of 87. Byron will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Byron will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Byron’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Prince Curtis and Cora Curtis. He is survived by: his sons, Joseph Curtis (Melissa) and Eric Curtis (Susan); his grandchildren, Emilee Higdon (Garrett), Seth Curtis (Sarah), Caleb Curtis and Joshua Georgianna; and his great grandchild Luke Curtis.
