Carl leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Carl’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Edwin and Frances Dunham Newman; and his great-grandparent AJ Newman. He is survived by: his sisters, Janet Diaz and Teresa Abrams of Anderson, SC; his son Kevin Michael Newman; his daughter-in-law Cynthia Lynn Newman of Helen Georgia; his daughter Laurie Lynn Canning of Allen Texas; and his grandchildren, Samantha Kearns, Cole Canning and Luke Canning.
Since 2020, Kevin and Cynthia have lived nearby and been fortunate to be with him for Covid lockdown, holidays, hospital stays, weekends on the deck and lots of 'senior care'.
