Alex Obery Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alex Obery (Oxford, North Carolina), who passed away on June 15, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Alex may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Alex touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Clara Obery Alston; his wife Gloria Fogg Obery; his children, Pamela Obery and Dexter Obery; and his siblings, Bertha Perry, Katie Alston and James Kearney of Henderson. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home (3724 Salem Rd, Oxford, NC 27565). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rowland Chapel Christian Church (2293 Epsom Rocky Ford Rd, Henderson, NC 27537).
