She was predeceased by: her husband Howard Champion; her son David Howard Champion; and her siblings, Perry, Lester, D. C. Reece, Ila Neal, Dessie Morgan and Charlotte Cope.
She is survived by: her sons, Rev. Kevin Champion of Kings Mountain, NC and Scott Champion of Oxford; her granddaughters, Kimberly Cox (Cody) and Allison Bott (Thomas); and her great grandchildren, Olivia Bott, Joshua and Jalen Cox.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Tungsten Baptist Church, P.O. Box 703, Henderson, NC 27536.
