It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Elliott Cheek of Oxford, North Carolina, who passed away on June 24, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice Daniel Cheek and Edna Reddick Cheek; and his uncles, Raymond Reddick and Frank Alfred. He is survived by: his wife Gayle Merritt Cheek; his son Daniel Harding Cheek; his sister Patricia Hayes (Phil) of Louisburg; his uncle Billy Reddick (Betty); and his aunts, Betty Reddick and Wilma Alfred. He is also survived by several nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Dexter Baptist Church (4549 Chewning Rd, Oxford, NC 27565). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Double D Rescue, 3144 Henry Wilson Road, Oxford, NC 27565.
