She is survived by: her children, Everett Smith of Raleigh, Teresa Tharrington (Jerome) of Creedmoor and Rita Brooks (Donald) of Oxford; and her brother James Pearce (Hollis) of Forestville, MD. She is also survived by three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
