She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Curtis and Gracie Allen Curtis. She is survived by: her children, Lou Thornton, Jr. of Oxford, Christine Williams of Oxford, Dorothy Thornton of Oxford and Carnell Thornton (Connie Jones Thornton) of Matthews, NC. She is also survived by eight Grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home (3724 Salem Rd, Oxford, NC 27565). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Hope Granville Baptist Church (5643 Old Roxboro Rd, Oxford, NC 27565).
