She was predeceased by: her parents, Earlie James (Rebecca Washington Taborn) and Helen. She is survived by: her husband John Oakley; her daughters, Aquanetta Parham of Oxford and Yayolka Oakley of Butner; and her siblings, Marianna Wilkerson and James Edward Taborn.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home Chapel (3724 Salem Rd, Oxford, NC 27565). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
