He is survived by : his wife Lucy Hargrove Hart; his sons, Michael Hart of Oxford and Robert Hart of Oxford; and his siblings, Fred Hart of Oxford, Ricky Hart of Oxford, Homer Hart of Oxford, Ben Hart of New York, George Hart of New York, Alma Harris of Oxford, Justine Speed of Oxford and Gloria Strong of Stovall. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren.
