It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary C Smith (Oxford, North Carolina), who passed away on July 21, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Mary's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Mary has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William D. Smith and Beatrice Thornton Smith. She is survived by: her son Dallas D. Smith; her siblings, Marie Bell (Byron) of Oxford, Lila S. Revis of Henderson, Joann S. Allen (David) of Oxford, Margaret Wortham (James) of Oxford, Patricia S. Watkins of Oxford, Larry Donnell Smith (Debra) of Oxford, Oscar C. Smith Anne and Michael Muhammad (Deborah) of Durham; and her close friend Clyde Hunt. She is also survived by three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home Chapel (3724 Salem Rd, Oxford, NC 27565).
