He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Franklin Baumgardner and Dorothy Ann Hatfield. He is survived by: his wife Martha "Jane" Boyd Baumgardner; his son Jon Michael Baumgardner (Kristi); his grandsons, James M. Baumgardner and Benton R. Baumgardner; his sisters, Claudia Jackson and Joi Baumgardner; and his niece Lauren Jackson (Juan).
