He was predeceased by: his parents, Beatle Ellington and Nora Lee Roberts Ellington; his son Clayton Michael Ellington; and his siblings, Betty Lou Wilson, Julia Riddle, Charlie Pete Ellington and Kenneth Ellington.

He is survived by: his wife June Clayton Ellington; his daughter Courtney Brooke Ellington; his grandchildren, Dylan Michael Ellington, Ashton Michael Wilkins and Aubree Anne Ellington; his siblings, Shirley Adams, Becky Williamson, Sarah Barbour, Ronnie Ellington and Butch Ellington (Wanda); and his in-laws, Kim Price (Wade) and Lee Clayton (Sarah). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
