Peggy Cox Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Peggy Cox of Oxford, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 28, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Peggy has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Abner Garrett Tingen, Sr. and Laura Mildred Keeton; and her son John Robert Cox, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband John Robert Cox; her children, Deborah Cox Clark, Richard Allen Cox (Debby), Robin Suzette Cox Kozischek (Michael) and Roxann Susan Cox Satterfield (Michael); and her brother David Candler Tingen (Grace). She is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Marrow's Chapel Church (2828 Morgan Rd, North Carolina 27537). Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
