The memory of Rancher Preddy of Oxford, North Carolina, who passed away on July 27, 2025 at the age of 97, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As we bid Rancher farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Rancher is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Cynthia Rose Spivey (Rick). He is survived by: his wife Wilma; and his daughters, Cheryl Annette Hobgood (Jimmy) and Michelle Dorsey Smith (Tim). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Oxford Baptist Church (147 Main St, Oxford, NC 27565). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at the Elmwood Cemetery (530 Hillsboro St, Oxford, NC 27565).
Donations can be made in his honor to Oxford Baptist Church.
