She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. W. A. Blackwell and Rachel Brame Blackwell. She is survived by: her daughter Rachel Blackwell Mills (Larry Mills) of Rocky Mount; and her sister Dorothy Purdie of Winston-Salem. She is also survived by three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
