He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Allen and Mary Willie Cooper Allen. He is survived by: his wife Helen Daye Allen; his children, Melvin Allen of Brodnax, VA, Billy Allen of Pottstown, PA, Deborah Beyah (Amin) of Durham, Juanita Odom-Tisdale (John) of Kenbridge, VA and Crystal Williams (Jermaine) of Durham; and his siblings, Lucy Sanford (John) of Butner, Minnie Vincent of Lancaster, PA, Virginia Ruffin of York, PA, Geraldine June (Franklin) of Mitchellville, MD and Bobby Allen of Henderson. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Wright Funeral Home Chapel (3724 Salem Rd, Oxford, NC 27565). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
