He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hopper and Mary Hopper. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hopper; his daughters, Paula Hopper Mersereau (Glenn) and Cheryl Hopper Barker (Brian); his grandchildren, Sydney Barker and William Barker (Will); his brother Robert Hopper; his sister-in-law Betty Jo Hamme (late Joseph Carr); his niece Betty Carr Hamme Fudge (Chip); his godchildren, Kaitlyn Fudge Venditti (Dan) and Jordan Fudge (Paige); his brother-in-law Gregory Leggett (Priscilla); and his nephews, Gregory and Christopher Leggett.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Oxford Baptist Church at 147 Main Street, Oxford, North Carolina, 27565.
