The memory of Wilma Dorsey Preddy of Oxford, North Carolina, who passed away on October 20, 2025 at the age of 97, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Dorsey and Gladys Dorsey; her husband Doc; her in-laws, Wayne Littleton and Rose Leigh Hobgood Preddy; her brother Edward Dorsey (Janet Preddy Dorsey); and her daughter Cynthia Rose Spivey (Rick).
She is survived by: her sister Julia Kathryne Dorsey Palmer; and her daughters, Cheryl Annette Hobgood (Jimmy) and Michelle Dorsey Smith (Tim). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Oxford Baptist Church (147 Main St, Oxford, NC 27565). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Elmwood Cemetery - Oxford (530 Hillsboro St, Oxford, NC 27565).
Donations can be made in her honor to Oxford Baptist Church.
