He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Lee and Louise Shackleford Joyner; and his son Willis Lee Joyner, III. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn B. Joyner; his children, Michael Lee Joyner (Regina) of Wilmington, Bonnie Joyner Adams (Bud) of Pantego and Johnny Keith Joyner (Melissa) of Scranton; and his grandchildren, Matthew Lee Adams, Amanda Joyner Baptiste, Morgan Lee Joyner (Sara), Nicholas Allen Gaskins, Kathryn Elaine Holdford, Aaron Skyler Adams (Samantha), Elizabeth Ann Joyner, Katie Joyner Perry (Ricky), Sarah LeeAnne Joyner and Alexis Lynn Joyner. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
