He was predeceased by: his mother Christel Clemens Coles; his grandparents, Cornell Clemens, Maria Clemens, Henrietta Coles and Ivy Coles; his uncle Mark Coles; and his aunt Donna Williamson.
He is survived by: his father Webster Coles; his sisters, Chelsea Chi (Cliff) of Bangkok and Thailand (Chantal Williams); his siblings' children, Ziyah, Clover and Cliff Jr.; his aunts and uncles, Willa Jones (Mark) of Pelham, NC, Mona Hall of Reidsville, NC, Jeff Coles of Greensboro, NC, Robert Coles of Danville, VA and Alphonso Williamson of Pelham, NC; his stepfather Richard Williams of Clarksville, TN; and his friend Annette James of Danville, VA. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
