She was predeceased by: her parents, Hovie Curtis Lane and Annie Bell Lane; her daughters, Tina Cummings and Jessica Chavis; her granddaughter Mia Cummings; and her great grandchild Michaela Cummings.
She is survived by: her children, Norma Hunt (Michael) of Pembroke, NC, Carol Oxendine (Victor) of Fayetteville, NC and Michael Bennie Chavis, Jr. (Rachel) of Syracuse, NY.; and her siblings, Betty Taylor (Grady), Hovie C. Lane (Carolyn) and Jimmy Lane. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
