He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Lowry and Sara Eliza Hunt Lowry; his siblings, Aver Lowry, Sarah Lowry, Jacqueline Glass (Lowry), Altha Whitehead (Lowry), Inez Dial (Lowry), Claude Lowry, Jr., Dolvin Lowry and Robert Lowry; and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Lowry, Grace Lowry, Sidney Strickler, Wilks Whitehead, James Dial and John Worrell.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Lee Capper Lowry; his children, Sherrie Lowry Jackson (Curtis) of Robertsdale and Alvin Lowry, Jr. (Kim) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his grandchildren, Mandi Rae Jackson (Rett Phillips), Daniel Robert Lowry (Paloma Florez) of Albuquerque, William Dale Jackson of Hillsboro and Kaitlin Ann Lowry Fuller (Brendan) of West Alice, Wisconsin; his great grandchildren, Hannah Rae Webb, Landry James Webb, Robert Henry Fuller and Bennett Jeffrey Lowry Fuller; his siblings, Jo Ellen Worrel, Elaine Strickler, Eleanor Otten, Harry Richard Lowry, Wayne LaFrance Lowry and William Alfred Lowry (Rebecca); Colt Everett Phillips. He is also survived by 22 nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the New Philadelphus Methodist Church. A funeral service was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
