He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Locklear and Thelma Locklear; his grandson Devan Collins; and his siblings, Alton Locklear, Jimmy Locklear, Johnny Locklear, Billy Locklear, Betty Louise Maynor, Vivian Oxendine, Marnice Hunt and Carlan Locklear.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel Gail Locklear; his children, Chiffon Rudine Locklear (Brian) of Pembroke, Krista Hite (Timmie) of Pembroke, LaRonda Lowery (Jamie) of Pembroke and Kenrick Locklear (Schnell) of Lumberton; his grandchildren, Robert Locklear, Kendra Locklear, Briana Locklear, Blake Hite, Kendron Locklear, Cole Lowery, Abigail Lowery and Jaylon Lowery; and his great grandchildren, Layahna Lowry, Londyn Lowry and Theo Locklear.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mt. Airy Baptist Church (7209 North Carolina Hwy 72, Pembroke, NC 28372). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to the Mt. Airy Baptist Church Children's Department where Mr. Bobby served faithfully over 40 years. Memorial donations can be made at https://app.autobooks.co.
