It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Emmer Sanderson (Pembroke, North Carolina), who passed away on November 8, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Mildred Barton and Oran Sanderson; and her parents, Emma Locklear Sanderson and William David Sanderson. She is survived by: her sister Pauline Sanderson; her great-nephew Nakota William Sanderson; and her great-nieces, Jalissa Tannigale Sanderson and Sequoyah Jane Sanderson. She is also survived by six nieces; and six nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Thompson's Funeral Home Chapel (2305 Prospect Rd, Pembroke, NC 28372). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
